“It’s such an honor to be recognized by my marketing peers here in the Charleston community,” said Fisher, a former president of AMA Charleston. “I’ve been so fortunate to work with incredible clients and colleagues over the years. I’m grateful to AMA Charleston for recognizing my efforts with this amazing award.”

Fisher has been in the marketing and public relations industry for more than a decade. In 2011, she founded Fisher Creative, working with dozens of businesses and nonprofit organizations in the Charleston community and around the country. In February 2018, she became a StoryBrand Certified Guide, helping businesses and organizations create clear and effective marketing messages so they reach more customers.

Fisher was a full-time newspaper reporter and editor before she transitioned into the marketing profession. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University and a master of mass communication from the University of South Carolina.

Fisher lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband and daughter. Their family business is CrossFit Charleston, where they’re focused on guiding people along a journey of lifelong fitness.

Fisher was nominated for the Marketer of the Year award by her marketing peers.

“Her voice helps businesses and nonprofits create a clear message and grow their organization and awareness in the community, ultimately making Charleston a better place,” wrote Amanda Bunting Comen, owner of Social ABCs.

“Holly cares deeply for the organizations and businesses she works with. She wants to see them succeed,” wrote Melissa Nelson, owner of Nelson Strategic Marketing. “Over the course of the last year she has earned her StoryBrand certification, seen multiple organizations through a rebrand, and worked with many journalists on positive coverage and awareness for her clients. Not only does she offer a discount for services for nonprofit clients, she also does pro bono work for causes near to her heart.”
